Blake was madly in love with his fiancée, Jenny. She was pretty and sweet, also feisty and sassy, and while the latter amused him most of the time, it made him angry when she decided she could fight off three drunken licentious cowboys intent on doing her harm, instead of coming to get help from him! Thankfully, he got there in time to help Jenny save the homesteader’s daughter. In spite of the sound spanking he gave her, Jenny still wasn’t satisfied. She decided to blame the most influential man in town for hiring the three drunken men, and for offering to pay their fine and get them out of jail and back to work on his ranch.
Jenny was barely back to work in her dress shop when a very angry man came inside and accused her of hiding his boy. Jenny denied it and told him to get lost, thankful for the presence of friends in her shop. Jenny was also thankful for the chance to talk to another woman about spanking! It just wasn’t done in her family, and she was shocked to learn that wives, who were grown women, were soundly spanked if the occasion warranted! Jenny wasn’t sure she wanted to marry a man who spanked.
Blake was positive that his Jenny needed to be taken in hand for her own good, and the best way to do that was by taking her over his knee and spanking her soundly when she crossed the line.

This book has dressmaker Jenny and sheriff Blake in a little frontier town dealing with alot of near rape incidents, kidnapping, falsified documents, runaway daughters, one crazy man, several dead men, robbers, gun shooting, OH, and of course, men spanking their women.I gave this book a four star rating because it just told incidents, and there were plenty for a little town, but no real character development. Like crazies all around was enough to make a story strong and for some it is but I like some back story.
Anyway, pretty short story but fun. If quick reads with lots of front story and some "not over the top" spanking, which I think is realistic spanking, this story is for you. I enjoyed the interlude.

Joannie Kay sure knows how to write a western and this is no exception. I really liked this story because it has a believable plot for this time period and very memorable characters. A fun read!
always loved joannie kay she is always a good read this has a good story and a cute little boy that has had more than enough hardache for a little 6 yr old. this is a sweet love story and I hope there is a book two
If you like spanking, you'll like this spanking story. Every woman gets one. I thought it was lacking excitement, the story lagged at times and the dialogue was very weak. If you're looking for erotica, you won't find it here. Just okay for me.
Awesome story line, love how Blake and Jenny, fuss & fight then make up,then go catch bad guys, falls in love with a
6 year old boy.
Blake the Sheriff has his hands full with Jenny. They are engaged and Jenny is the town’s seamstress with other skills as well. She has a big heart and a protective nature which lands her in frequent trouble with Blake. He feels her safety and health should always come first and is willing to impress upon her his point right over his knee. She learns eventually and their journey is thoroughly pleasurable.
This is a very sweet love story and i thorougly enjoyed the book
Could not sit it fown until i finished reading it
Although the two book was about the two main characters the supporting characters made the book so much better

This is a great story about the wild west. Joannie does a great job writing about cowboys and their love interests. We start the book with Jenny getting spanked by Blake for putting her life at risk. Jenny almost calls off the wedding because of it. But, she goes to Blake for clarification and Blake lets her know that he spanks because he love her and wants to keep her safe. Of course, Jenny and Blake have different ideas about what she can and cannot do! There are quite a few spankings for jenny, but most of them are deserved. I highly recommend this book, and other Joannie Kay stories to read!
